The monarch has banned the
worship of deities, changed the traditional title of Ogiame, pouring of libation and other traditional practices

ancestors and I have borne, as it connotes our allegiance to Umalokun
(goddess of the river) and other deities of the sea, all of which are
false gods.
“Today, I renounce our allegiance to Umalokun and other gods of the sea,
land and sky. On behalf of the royal bloodline, the throne, the people
of Iwere land, I publicly enter into a new covenant with God.” GREAT!!!
Did you notice the word i capitalized in the first paragraph? Yes, VALIANT. I mean it. Indeed he is!

these words are perfect to describe the monarch for the declaration he made. That is knowledge and understanding. he understands that the basis of all Abrahamic religion is worship God and God alone. And he is ready to go by that standard. He is indeed The Royal Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

HIS action is indeed strange as it is not common to many priests and Obas. Barely will you see any man of high rank in the community or state who will be involved in things that will make him loose his position.
This is what makes me sad sometimes where the IMAMS of some Central Mosques abet idol worshipping all because they don't want to loose that position of imamship- since those who give them their salary are the Idol worshippers and if they refuse to worship with them, they may stop their salary. This, the monarch forgets and hope for the blessings and mercies of his lord.
MY POINT is that if you want to worship Man, stones, sun, water, etc, let the world know that that is what you have chosen to worship (Even though it belittle you to worship a creator like yourself) but do not be an hypocrite who goes to church/mosques but secretly worship IDOLS. IN FACT, you cannot at the same time worship BOTH because they are incompatible and incomparable. Those who worship SANGO are never compared to those who worship THE ALMIGHTY CREATOR. Even those who worship SAINTS in Islam like sheikh abdul Qadr, sheikh Niyas,Jami'u Bulala etc are in PLAIN ERROR, I have written a NOTE ON THAT TOO
Someone out there is practicing his religion publicly without an iota of shyness, not just any person, A king! So, why can't you, whom no one or a few people will challenge, practice your religion sincerely.
Again, the basis of all Abrahamic religion is worship God and God alone. do not worship any creature beside the ALMIGHTY CREATOR.
And what is with Allah is better off than what is with those things you worship beside him
Constructive criticisms are highly welcome.
