Dr. Goodluck Jonathan marginalizing the Muslims

We equally want to bring to the notice of the ruling PDP and the progressive minded Nigerians that the government of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan has continued to marginalize the Muslims in its appointment into ministries, boards and parastatals.
We say this is an insult and disservice to the vast majority of Muslims who voted him into power. We want to assume that the government of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is not a faith based government, which have come to lord the Christians over the Muslims in a country which is predominantly Muslims with more than 60% of its population. Appointment into ministries, boards and parastatals have shown clear marginalization of the Muslims with some boards and parastatals not having even a single Muslim as a full or part time member. Little wonder why policies from such organisation are clearly anti Islam such as that of the NIMC on the issuance of national identity card which barred the wearing of hijab by Muslim women. The worst marginalization is experienced by the Muslims from the south where the Muslims have been consistently schemed out of the polity during appointment into national offices. read the accusation of The Secretary General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede,  to the Federal Government of marginalising Muslims in the South-West here.

The millions of members of MSSN (Muslim Student Society of Nigeria) in Nigeria and diaspora reject these callous appointments by Mr. President which we believe is capable of further dividing the nation and poses more threat to the already fragile security situation of the country. We call on all the stake holders to impress it upon Mr. President to redress this bias appointment in the interest of justice and a match towards a united Nigeria.
