Even at a time which is not Shakespearian, people can be as critical as Shakespeare was during his time. I have run across a man’s post many different times on Facebook but anytime I read his posts,
I feel the impact of his extensive critical use of words. He is a man with a well accumulated fashionable sense of how to make words work. He drank from an ocean of knowledge and brought out the wisdom in every inch of “miracles”. 

Except from Charles Dickens and George Orwell who are my role models in English, he is irresistibly my Nigerian role model, instead of HE who liberates hot aqueous gases of vocabulary and leaves us In a vacuum. What is the advantage of he who talks but doesn’t communicate! You can read the compilation of his speeches by a friend of mine HERE.

ESEOGHENE writes as short as 50 words in each of his posts (on the average), but come see hundreds of misinterpretation and misunderstanding. Thank God Facebook is a place of ‘post and comment’. If not, the world would have been damaged by whoever subscribes to his posts but misunderstands him.

Take a look at a screenshot of one of his status.

Friend, can you differentiate between:

 “the dog smells bad”

and

“the dog smells badly”?

Or

“he looked good at the party”

 and 

“he looked well at the party”?

People use “all is well”, can you tell the meaning if I used “all are well”?

What about “You respect Professor Abdullah more than I” and “You respect Professor Abdullah more than me”

Both are correct friend, but the meanings are more than slight differences.

If you have difficulties deciphering the meaning of each sentence above, then you shouldn’t be reading ESEOGHENE’s status, except if you are sure you will read all the comments under the post in other to learn more, or else, you make things more complicated for yourself. 

This is what you should take care now, your English, before it’s too late. You have a great deal to learning! Take up your English textbook now and begin to read, read, and read.

Mind you, English alone may not help you fully comprehend. You need to open your mind for new ideas to get in or else you learn nothing.
