THERE IS NO ATHAN NOR IQAAMAH FOR WOMEN

There exist a common saying related by Ibn Adee that the prophet peace and blessings be upon him, said:

there is no Athan nor Iqaamah for women and no ghusl for Solaatul Jumu’ah.

This Hadith has been thoroughly investigated by scholars of Hadith, particularly, Imam Ahmad Ibn Hambal and proved that it is a fabricated Hadith!

this fabricated Hadith glaringly goes in contradiction to the many other authentic narrations from the prophet.

Men and women are equal in regards to rewards and punishments. and whenever we are commanded by Allah to do anything, that thing includes both men and women except if they are exempted.

It is worth knowing that the permissibility of women calling the  Athan or Iqaamah does not include calling it loudly or publicly to the hearings of the general populace.

As for the part of the Hadith that says there is no ghusl (Islamic ritual bathe) for women before Solatul Jumu’ah, it contradicts the Islamic Shar’iah because it is Sunnah Muakaddah on those who attend Jumu’ah Salah to perform ghusl whether they are men or women. it is compulsory on men to perform Jumu’ah but optional for women.
